Meet Sr. Gemma
I am a missionary Sister and I belong to the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT). I have lived in Seattle, North Dakota, Kansas City, and Texas since being a Sister. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where my family still lives. Go Cardinals!
I teach Religion to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade at St. Anthony School, as well as Theology of the Body to 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade. Most importantly, I want my students to have a living, loving relationship with Jesus! Everything flows from that and points to that. We study Sacraments in 5th Grade, the Old Testament in 6th Grade, the Gospels and the Life of Christ in 7th Grade, and Church History in 8th Grade.
I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville and have a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Catechetics, with a concentration in Youth Ministry. After graduation from college, I worked as a parish Youth Minister in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis from 2011-2018. I am currently pursuing a certification from the Theology of the Body Institute in Pennsylvania.
You can reach me at [email protected].
May God bless you and your family!
Sr. Maria Gemma Barnett, SOLT
